A third shipment of artificial limbs, orthotics equipment and wheelchairs started on their journey last month and in the next few days are set to arrive at their destination, the Hope Rehabilitation Society in Lahore.
Limbs to Pakistan is a project that we have been involved with through the Take My Hands Trust (www.takemyhands.org) for the last four years. Big thanks to the other partners and donors in the project including PBT Transport who transported all the donations from around New Zealand to our office in Auckland, Mondiale who handle the shipping and arrangements at the Port here in Auckland, and donors' the Artificial Limb Centres in Hamilton and Wellington, and orthotics departments and centres in Auckland, Napier, Whangarei, and Rotorua.
Its ridiculously rewarding to know that the efforts made here have a real impact on people's lives. Very cool.
